History

It all started back in 1963 with a modest floral exhibition. More events were organized for the first time in 1964; fireworks and a parade were also added. Caterers ran out of drinks and the organizers were surprised by the attendance. The festival had to be repeated!

Thus, from 1965 the town of Laško annually hosts numerous domestic and foreign musicians, exhibitions, memorable fireworks, a traditional peasant wedding, sport games, etc. Therefore the multitude of visitors has no other choice but to have fun.

Up to 140,000 people are drawn to this town with a population of less than 4000 people. More than 1200 individuals are involved in the organization of the event through various boards and committees.
